Amona Steel Bridge, Goa



Another creation of then Parrikar Govt. in 2004

Amona Bridge:
The bridge between Amona in Bicholim and Khandola in  Ponda taluka was informally thrown open to pedestrians movement on 09  December, 2004, for the Amona Zatra.
Before the bridge, Ferry service was available here between Khandola - Amona the same (Ferry Service) was withdrawn in around 9th March 2005, which means the bridge was thrown open or inaugurated around same time early March 2005

Bridge in Structural Steel Superstructure with total length of 510 mtrs. with spans of 65 mtrs., 50 mtrs. and 30mtrs.
Estimated Cost: Rs 27.0 Crores. Client : Public Works Department, Goa. Another about 2.5 crores were spent on its maintenance (Structure) around 2017/2018
