The bridge was completed in just 18 months in the the year 2004
Khorjuvem - Aldona cable stayed bridge informally opened for pedestrians in September 2004 and formally inaugurated on 21st November 2004 by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in office 24 October 2000 to 2nd February 2005
